The East Coast Jazz Band was formed by trombonist/guitarist Tomás Power in
2003. The band performs regularly at events and festivals througout Ireland
and has been booked by Diageo to perform at the Cork Guinness Jazz festival
every year since 2003. The band performs a selective mix of upbeat “popular”
Jazz from the 1920’s onwards. Dixieland, ragtime and trad Jazz styles are
performed and the feelgood factor is an important aspect within the bands
repertoire. The band can be booked as a two piece right up to 7 piece to
include: sax/clarinet,trumpet, trombone,guitar, piano, double bass, drums.
Several of the bands musicians are also fine vocalists.
